How the Program Works
Families apply during a state-run application window; approved students receive a scholarship account the state disburses in quarterly installments, usable toward tuition and fees at participating private schools. Eligibility rules, required documents, and school participation are administered by the Tennessee Department of Education; its EFS program pages and application page are the authoritative sources for both.
The state does not currently publish a machine-readable list of participating schools; families are directed to the department's program pages to confirm a school's participation.
