Chattanooga Prep and Marion County squared off in a highly anticipated matchup Friday, with both teams coming off impressive wins over tough opponents.¶
Late-game heroics from Marion County running back Taedyn Bibbs pushed the Bulldogs to a 20-12 victory over the Sentinels and propelled them to a 5-0 record, including winning 14 of their last 15 games.¶
The Sentinels entered the game after a 28-14 victory over Milan the previous Saturday. Senior linebacker Ta’darris Brown and defensive lineman E’monte Thorton helped disrupt the Bulldogs’ running game.¶
Marion County was coming off a close 23-15 win over Sequatchie County, setting the stage for a competitive battle between two strong teams.¶
