House District 18 Rematch
Public campaign finance data shows California as Goldberg’s largest source of out-of-state contributions by far, with 1,386 donations totaling $20,115.61. New York was a distant second with 187 contributions, followed by Florida with 154 and Washington with 146. The largest individual out-of-state donations in the first two quarters of this year both amounted to $1,900 and came from New York and Georgia, respectively.¶
Goldberg is challenging Republican Representative Elaine Davis for House District 18 in Knox County for the second time. The two also faced each other in 2024. Davis won that race with 18,599 votes to Goldberg’s 15,996, according to previous coverage. Both candidates are on the Nov. 3 ballot after Goldberg ran unopposed in the Democratic primary and Davis defeated two Republican challengers.¶
Goldberg has also built a much larger donor base than the other candidates who sought the seat this cycle. Who Funds Tennessee lists 3,694 donors for Goldberg, compared with 77 for Davis.¶
