The Chattanooga Preparatory School Sentinels and Hixson High School Wildcats entered the game this past Friday looking to bounce back from tough losses, but only one prevailed.¶
The Sentinels defeated the Wildcats 28-0 last Friday in a game in which Chatt Prep never took its foot off the gas.¶
The Sentinels were coming off a 33-0 defeat to Boyd Buchanan, and Hixson was still smarting from a 40-13 loss to Soddy Daisy. With something to prove on both sidelines, the will to win was palpable from kickoff.¶
Chattanooga Preparatory School delivered a dominant 28-0 victory over Hixson. David Gladden set the tone with a 12-yard touchdown reception to start the game, and the route continued from there. Quarterback Greg Vinson also had an impressive game through the air, accounting for nearly 170 passing yards.¶
With the victory, Chatt Prep faces Milan High School at 3 p.m. this Saturday and will look to maintain its winning momentum, while Hixson will try to regroup when it takes on Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences later today.¶
