Shelby County Commissioners voted Monday in favor of a no-confidence resolution against the Memphis-Shelby County Schools Board of Education over school board members’ recent efforts to fire Superintendent Marie Feagins.

Students at MLK College Preparatory High School in Frayser will get to choose from among six schools to attend beginning next school year, as Memphis-Shelby County Schools begins construction of a new high school on the same site.

Students from the North Memphis Frayser community came together Friday morning to advocate for funding to combine the area’s two high schools into one new school.
