Nashville State Community College prepares for new healthcare and information technology programs with Clarksville campus expansion

Nashville State Community College broke ground this week on a Clarksville campus expansion that’s designed to serve students with new academic programs in healthcare, information technology, secondary education, and industrial process control.

The expanded facility on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard will include a complete renovation of the existing building in addition to a second building and expanded parking.

“From design to the programs and supports offered, we are confident that the community will be very pleased with the expansion and renovation,” said Clarksville campus Director Kathleen Akers. “Between Tennessee Promise, Tennessee Reconnect, the numerous scholarships offered, and supports provided such as laptop, tutoring, and food and transportation assistance, Nashville State is here to support students from admissions to graduation and beyond.”

The $34 million project will be completed in two phases. The first will include construction of the new building and will be completed by the end of 2025. The second phase will include renovating the existing building. The target completion of the total project is early 2027.

The expansion will also include a welcome center, new bookstore, dedicated lounge for military veterans, a campus food pantry, and study areas.
